An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
