Missing star players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

Another victory in their next match against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to seal straight passage to the last 16, particularly after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.

The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then missed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for improvement in his game.

A solitary concern for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
