It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

This is the unit that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the peak baggers, are the only things left for a squad that has achieved everything.

It needed up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to possess a record if never given the possibility.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia conceding 330 was skipper Alyssa Healy receiving an opportunity to deliver her most recent brilliance.

The question of whether this newest brilliant performance exceeded that prior achievement can be debated.

Many contend the argument supporting final game tension. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's clear is this hundred was considerably tougher to predict.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this innings was preceded by six games in India over the past few weeks in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in training, it's been a disappointing period because it appeared I've had no rhythm whatsoever," stated Healy.

Once she was removed Australia required another 66 at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Pursuing 330 is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the belief to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, should it happen, we are confident we can achieve it."

That comment will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this tournament need to hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this triumph succeeding victory over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy was absent due to damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at a significant event.

Such is her determination, she later said she wished she had played with the discomfort.

Yet even as she afterwards confessed those physical issues have delayed thoughts of retirement, this World Cup is expected to be her concluding event as leader in ODI cricket and she is hasn't yet secured an international tournament as skipper.

Success in India would bring her to the top of her final mountain.
